Paving Company, L.P. began as a General Contractor in
the Asphalt Paving Industry in 1965. The company’s
objective at that time was to build a business reputation
of excellence for producing the best possible roads.
This industrious family business succeeded in achieving
this goal and began to gather knowledge about the many
facets of the Asphalt Paving Industry.
During the company’s initial years
in the Asphalt Paving Industry, the work performed encompassed
all areas of road construction. In 1984, the company
focus changed from conventional asphalt paving into
the much more specialized area of Hot Asphalt Rubber
Paving. This process produces the best possible roads
while helping to eliminate the problem presented by
old tires in our landfills. Cox Paving Company, L.P.
has paved highways from the East to West Coast with
Hot Asphalt Rubber.
Over the years, Cox Paving Company, L.P.
has worked to promote the advancement of pavement technology.
In keeping with their progressive ideology, Cox Paving
Company, L.P. extended their area of specialization
into Micro-Surfacing and Slurry Seal. These processes,
together with their expertise in Hot Asphalt Rubber,
have been Cox Paving Company L.P.’s core business
for the past decade.
Hot Asphalt Rubber application is a very
specialized process. The same is true of the equipment
required. In the remote locations throughout America
where Cox Paving Company L.P. is working, it was often
difficult to obtain the replacement parts required and
the machinery impossible to locate. Such delays in productivity
are extremely costly to any contractor.
Cox Paving Company, L.P. believes in a
“hands on” policy in their work. In performing
routine repairs and maintenance, Cox Paving Company,
L.P. discovered many modifications to better the equipment
performance. As the years passed, Cox Paving Company,
L.P. has gained immeasurable knowledge of the machinery
their work required. Operating the machinery in actual
working conditions may differ greatly than what was
represented by the manufacturer. It was for this reason,
the decision was made to expand into the manufacturing
area. In 1996 D & H Equipment, Ltd., an affiliated
company, was created.

& H Equipment, Ltd.’s goal is in providing
Hot Asphalt Rubber equipment that integrates the latest
technology with the common sense basics that have endured
the test of hard road time. Another objective is to
alleviate the down-time for general repairs and part
replacement. Safety concerns are also of paramount importance.
The unusually high temperature requirements of the material
used for Hot Asphalt Rubber paving demands extra safety
precautions. These and other issues have been addressed
in machinery manufactured by D & H Equipment, Ltd.
Initially, D & H Equipment, Ltd. manufactured
equipment solely for use by Cox Paving Company, L.P.
It soon became apparent to D & H Equipment, Ltd.
there was a demand for their products in the public sector.
Thus D & H Equipment, Ltd. is now marketing their
blenders, reaction tanks, and heaters around the world.
Specializing in manufacturing all types
of blenders, agitators and heating units for Asphalt
Rubber pavement keeps D & H Equipment busy, not
only on the manufacturing end, but also on the testing
and use of each unit manufactured. Staying close to
the market in this way keeps D & H Equipment aware
of what the customers need to meet their own goals of
superior paving services. And one of those needs is
training for, and the presentation of, new technologies
which is why D & H Equipment feels it is important
to provide training with each unit sold, and continued
support after the sale.
